Fabulous Focus Talent Opportunity – Summer “Youth” Employment Program!!

 Any one 14-23 interested in participating in this paid work experience training program from now until September 30, 2010 (organized by the state of Hawaii Department of Defense), MUST ATTEND ORIENTATION.

 This program will pay between $8.00 to $20.00 an hour, depending on your experience.  Students attending school will be paid the minimum of $8.00. All Focus Talent can assist with various job areas within our company for non-profit events & other non-profit companies or events, that can be compensated by this government agency.

 To be a participant you MUST attend a 4 hour orientation, Friday August 27 at 1:00 pm till 4:00pm and 5:00pm to 9:00pm at the Armory in Captain Cook Location. Any questions call Meleana at 499-4989.

Focus Modelling Jobs - Print Work

Shoot in Kona tentative Sept 3rs & Sept 4, for Bridal layout for Travel magazine.  Model  booked  Sunnie, Lauren H, Crystal, Cristy, Martin, Jacob & Logan.  Fittings at Attractions Wed Sept 1st & Thur Sept 2nd.  Jourabchi fitting Sept 1st King Shops 9:30am to 3:00pm. More details to follow.  Filming for both print & film. Come with camera ready hair & make-up.

Hawaii Five-0 Casting Surfing Competition

Looking for young, attractive men and women (ages 18+) to work as non-union extras for an upcoming episode of Hawaii Five-0. Pay rates will range from $65/8 hrs to $200/8hrs. Surfing experience a plus. Full day shoot scheduled for Sept. 8th on the North Shore – you will need to provide your own transportation!

“Hawaii Five-0” will hold an open casting call Aug. 28 for adults of all ages and ethnicities to be considered for speaking roles and as
background extras.

The “Five-0” producers are aiming for authenticity when it comes to portraying Hawaii, said Rachel Sutton, the casting agent for the show.
From hot surfers to aunties in oversized muumuu to sunburned tourists —
everyone is welcome, she said.

“We definitely want to present Hawaii in the most realistic way and the reality of Hawaii is all of these different looks of people,” she
said. “We need to fill the whole palette.”

No experience is necessary. The casting call will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 28 at Aloha Tower Marketplace. If possible, bring a
“headshot” photograph and a resume but plan to be photographed.

“Hawaii Five-0” premieres with a sneak preview Sept. 13 at Sunset on the Beach at Waikiki. The network premiere will be Sept. 20.

based on Hasbro’s classic Naval combat game. The film stars Taylor Kitsch
(X-Men Origins: Wolverine, television’s Friday Night Lights) as a Naval
commander who leads the fight, and singing star Rihanna.

No cost to the models for the photographer-if you're interested in purchasing images - cost per photo is $20 each. These purchased images can go up on model websites at no charge- (Two website changes per year at no charge). Mahalo !

Portfolio:

DO's 
use images that you can be readily seen - in focus, light enough, etc.
use images that vary your expressions - smile, no smile, etc.

Don'ts
don't use images which have other people in the image (unless a
well-known tear-sheet or photo's being used in a "couple or family" category).
don't use images which are just repeats of another image (quality over
quantity)
don't use swimsuit shots in which your body is not being shown at it's
best
don't use images that you know are not showing you well, just to have
more images

marketing yourself is important to both yourself and Focus

Use "quality over quantity" as your guide to choosing only the "best"
images to market yourself
